Known as "The Scientist" for his analytical, physics-based approach to golf, Bryson DeChambeau has carved out one of the most unique and successful careers in modern sports. Before making waves in the professional ranks, DeChambeau put together a historic amateur career while studying at Southern Methodist University. In 2015, he became only the fifth golfer in history to win both the NCAA Division I Individual Championship and the U.S. Amateur title in the same calendar year, joining an elite group that includes Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. He capped off his amateur career by earning low-amateur honors at the 2016 Masters.
After turning professional, DeChambeau quickly became a powerhouse on the PGA Tour, accumulating two Major championships: his dominant, six-stroke victory at the 2020 U.S. Open at Winged Foot, and a thrilling, dramatic triumph at the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2.
