Chase Hayes arrived at Tennessee as the nation’s No. 1 recruit in the class of 2025 by Junior Golf Scoreboard. A two-time AJGA Rolex All-American at Spain Park High School, he captured two AHSAA Class 7A individual state titles and led his team to a state championship. His standout amateur resume also includes a runner-up finish at the Western Junior Championship, reaching the round of 64 at the 2024 U.S. Amateur, and qualifying for the 2026 U.S. Open.
Hayes made an instant impact as a freshman, contributing countable scores at the NCAA Bryan Regional and helping Tennessee finish tied for seventh at the NCAA Championships. His debut season featured runner-up honors at the Coach Sykes Individual (-9), a top-five finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship (-4), and a 69 in his SEC Championship debut. Now in his sophomore year, Hayes continues to anchor the Vols' lineup against top collegiate competition.
