Jackson Koivun is a highly decorated American amateur golfer and standout player for the Auburn Tigers, widely recognized as one of the best young talents in the world. As a freshman during the 2023-24 season, he produced one of the most successful years in collegiate golf history, becoming the first player to sweep all four major collegiate awards: the Haskins Award, Jack Nicklaus Award, Ben Hogan Award, and Phil Mickelson Award, in a single season. Koivun led his team to its first-ever NCAA title in 2024 and maintained a remarkably consistent record, finishing in the top six in nearly every start while winning the SEC Championship.
Beyond his collegiate success, Koivun, a Chapel Hill, North Carolina native, quickly established himself as a top-ranked amateur by winning the 2022 Rolex Tournament of Champions and the 2023 Dustin Johnson World Juniors. He secured his PGA Tour card early via the PGA Tour University Accelerated program after a historic freshman campaign, yet elected to return to Auburn for his sophomore season. Continuing his stellar play, he broke collegiate scoring records previously held by Tiger Woods and won individual titles in the 2024–25 season, maintaining his status as one of the world's premier amateur golfers.
