Tim Wiedemeyer emerged as a standout golfer at Texas Tech, highlighted by a dominant 2025–26 junior campaign. He earned Third Team All-American honors, made the All-Big 12 First Team, and was selected for the Arnold Palmer Cup. Wiedemeyer co-led the Red Raiders with a 70.0 scoring average, carded 27 par-or-better rounds, and won his first collegiate title at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational with a 6-under 204. Alongside six top-10 finishes, he twice fired a career-low 64—highlighted by an 8-under 64 at the Amer Ari Invitational en route to a personal-best 14-under 202—which kept him on national watch lists for both the Ben Hogan and Haskins awards.
His breakout year built on steady underclassman growth and an elite amateur background. Arriving from Munich as a two-time German Boys champion and three-time Jacques Léglise Trophy winner, he posted multiple top-five finishes as a freshman before cementing his role in Tech's starting lineup as a sophomore. Wiedemeyer also shone internationally, finishing top-20 at the DP World Tour's BMW International Open, reaching the Round of 32 at the 125th U.S. Amateur, setting a course-record 62 at Lubbock Country Club, and representing Scotland at the World Amateur Team Championship as he pursues his PGA Tour aspirations.
